I think we had the best spot in the campground, but it wasn't by the creek. There are great areas and paths to walk your dog. Ours loved chasing the local lizards and frogs. The fish hatchery is across the street and you'll see Blue Herons flying daily to and from. The office manager was very friendly and helpful. Cable tv, microwave and one exercise bike. In the month of July, blackberries grow wild up and down the entrance.

I found the park to be Lush with lots of mature trees. There is no cell service, internet or cable. Water pressure is very low but doable. You are in a oasis and it will take at least 10 minutes to get to nearby towns. Traffic noise on the bridge echoes into the campground.

If you love wineries, this is the campground for you. We will definitely go back. We have stay here 3 times over the last couple years. Tricky entrance down a long hill. Be careful of cars parked at the restaurant, near the entrance. Some RV spots are pretty tight. The whole appeal of this park is the creek, so if you stay here get a creek side spot, don't think I'd stay unless creek side.

Not much room to park your vehicle, but I have seen it packed, and everyone finds a spot. Bathroom are very old but clean for the most part.

Not a lot of space to walk your dogs but it works out okay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Yes we would stay again, but only creek side. One of the nicest parks I have ever stayed at. Beautiful grounds with trees, grass, gravel - no dirt or dust. No junky rigs or sketchy neighbors. Quiet neighborhood, dark skies and stars at night. Short hop to supermarket, Walgreens, and some food in Camp Verde Sutlers and Muscato's Italian quite good , more food 15 minutes west in Cottonwood.

Owner was super helpful in getting us parked and hooked up and making sure we were happy. Rancho Verde is a great RV Park, it's even a better home.

It is both to many people who've been guests here, whether long term or short. I was lucky enough to rent an RV there for nearly 3 months. The location is 10 minutes from downtown Camp Verde and less than 20 minutes to shopping in Cottonwood.

Just off I17, you are a less than an hour drive to Sedona, Flagstaff, or Prescott. Even closer to 'home' is Cliff's Casino and Montezuma's Castle, both just minutes away, Yet at home at night, the sky is black and the stars are out in force. In nearby Cottonwood, there are some wonderful restaurants and even a 2nd nearby National Monument, Tuzigoot. Indeed, if you visit either Tuzigoot or Montezuma's Castle, you may see the second one the same day by showing your receipt.

If you have the "America The Beautiful Pass," use it for free admission to both. If you do not, check out the pass if you are over 62, it's well worth the money. The owners are committed to making your stay both comfortable and enjoyable.

The common rest rooms, showers, and laundry areas are bright and cheerful, as well as immaculate. There's even a small, honor system library that houses a decent variety of reading materials.

If you need anything the owners, are usually there daily. If not, they have many fine employees that are also permanent campers at the park, also very willing to answer your needs. It's a small oasis in the midst of the high desert.

With gratitude from the Audubon Society, the park doubles as a bird sanctuary of sorts. There are tens of trees, homing both local and rare birds to the area. Hummingbirds abound, fed by the flowering landscape and feeders found throughout the park. A small tributary of the Verde River flows through the back of the park, if you bring your pets, be sure to check out the river while letting them roam in a clean, fenced area close to the river.

I found my rather brief stay there most enjoyable. Small but nice laundry facilites and owners very friendly. We booked this stay online. We saw the reviews about how they are fixing up and re-doing a lot of the park and were hoping for improvement when we got there. We arrived on a Sunday and picked up our assigned spot at the office since no one was in the office.

The site they assigned us to was cramped in between 2 long stay vehicles one with 2 big dogs running unleashed and a tree that probably would not allow for us to put out slides. There were other sites vacant so we looked at the ones in the box assigned to others arriving that day and any that would have worked were already assigned.

We left them a note apologizing for the cancelation and told them we could see good things happening, but we were heading elsewhere for the night.

They have made no attempt at communicating with us or given us the credit. You can see that they are making improvements and hopefully in the future it will be a nice park. I appreciate the fact that the new owners are trying to create a beautiful park but at the time we were there it was just a run-down location with no amenities. True they were coming sometimes in the future. Their sign says spring not a chance.

For what we got the rate was way too high and they did not accept Good Sam's even thought they have a Good Sam's rating. The sites were gravel and grass or should I say weeds.

But they were level and the services were good we had 50amp. There was no dog park. You had to walk them on the gravel roads. The grass was not really grass but some sort of prickly weed that the dogs refused to walk on. While we were there there was a lot of construction equipment used digging up septic tanks or grading the grounds of the yet to open club house pool and spa. Need I say dusty. I saw the drawings of what they want the park to be in the future but would not return until they occurred.

The rate is too high for what they have now. This is a park in transition. New owners are making changes to the resort, adding getaway cabins and improving facilities. Presently, sites are grass and gravel with convenient utilities. A new laundry and restroom facility is clean and a good change from the past.

Staff was friendly and helpful, the office now in the old KOA building in the campground. There was some hint that PPA would not be honored soon. The location is quiet, permanent residents are located in the back of the campground, nearest the Verde River.

Wouldn't be our first choice but could return here in the future. I was very impressed with this campground. It was very clean and well maintained. They are back in sites, only suitable for smaller rigs, but if that sounds appropriate for you, it's worth asking if they are available for your stay. The great service continued with the personal escort to my site, who was happy to help guide backing my trailer into the space. Everything at this campground was super clean and well maintained.

This includes the several large, spacious private restrooms with showers in the main building. Planning to go to the casino just across the freeway? I would definitely stay here again. Nice spot to stop. We travel in a 45 ft Motorhome and the pull in site was very easy to get into. View of the Verdi Valley out the front windshield. Staff provided excellent service. Easy off and on ramps from I in Arizona. Nice clean park with paved streets, concrete pads, little grass, picnic tables; free shuttle to a nearby casino for those interested.

We had to use blocks under our front tires, as our site was sloped. You could see that most sites had a southernly slope maybe for water draininage?? Although our site was a pull-through, we could not pull through because of utility poles placed at the ends of each site. Can't maneuver a 45' in there.
