Was 2nd time living in their place. Nice and clean as usual. She was very flexible and accommodating with our schedule. The house was very clean and the private bedroom and bathroom was everything we needed. A nice basement bedroom complete with freshly ground coffee in the morning and a desk for students.

Great location for those attending SAIT. Audrey provided a warm welcome to her home and made sure we had coffee, herbal tea, granola and fruit. She also invited us to join her for a delicious breakfast.

The room was recently decorated and feels fresh and clean. Her Western Hospitality was sincerely appreciated. It was the most beautiful space with such positive energy. It was absolutely perfect for what we needed and was a such a relaxing environment.

Audrey was a fabulous host and went over and above. She provided the most delicious granola with teas, coffees, and toiletries.

It was also in such a cute neighborhood, super close to the city, with one of the best farm to table restaurants right around the corner. We couldn't have been happier with our experience here!! Audrey is a very nice landlady and the room is comfortable. The transportation is also convenient that take the bus to downtown or anywhere.

Great neighborhood, super close to the city. Thanks had a great stay, self contained suite with its own bathroom and mini type kitchen. Super clean and awesome. Could have not asked for a better place, it is close to everything so you won't even need a car! The bed is extremely comfortable and I had everything I needed. Torie was very helpful and always there when I needed her. I highly recommend everyone to stay at Torie's place if you go to Calgary, great deal, amazing location, beautiful view..

You won't find any place like this one. Great experience, very nice place that looks as described in an excellent location. Torie was easy to communicate with, and although we had to check in a bit later than expected, a flexible check out more than made up for it.

Would certainly recommend to friends. Tori was a pleasant host. She walked me through the condo and made sure I was all set for my stay. Her space is the perfect location for anyone visiting Calgary. The apartment was lovely and very close to loads of bars and shops. A great place to stay in Calgary! Torie was a great host, as she was super accommodating with our later than usual check in time. Torie's place was also nice and moderately clean.

Very artsy, philosphical kind of theme going on in this condo and it's pretty neat. The location was right off a major downtown street 17th avenue , so we were central to a lot of food and hot spots. Parking underground was a huge plus. Our stay was very short but it was definitely an overall good experience. Apartment was clean, nice view and great location.

Would've been nice to check in earlier but luckily we had a car. Good communication with Torie if we needed anything. Tori was great and very responsive. The location was at the heart of everything, close to restaurants and places to explore. The apartment was cozy; however, I would have appreciated more attention to detail. The shower had terrible drainage but the plumber was called , supply of toilet paper fell short but offered to pay to replenish , and heater didn't seem to turn off.

I also think it may be worth it to pay the cleaning fee in cases were owners live in the places they rent out to guests. Geoff was a fantastic host. He was always quick to answer my questions or to help me and my friend feel really comfortable during our stay. The apartment is really accessible to everything downtown and it made it a great place to explore the city.

Immaculate property with large garaged parking. Quiet, cosy and had everything we needed while we were staying. Couldn't be in a better location, easy to access and within walking distance of shops, a supermarket, lots of bars and restaurants and the saddledome. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely use again. Geoff has a great place downtown, close to everything, and very clean and well-appointed.

Geoff's place is very clean and comfortably. Centrally located to a lot of restaurants and bar. Easy access to public transportation. Geoff was very accommodating allowing me to check in early. Clean, comfortable and amazing location. Very happy with my decision to stay here rather than a hotel. I would definitely recommend. Great place to stay, very convenient location and can get to anywhere in the city quickly on foot.

Geoff and Taylor were both very friendly and easy to communicate with going over and above their hosting duties. The place itself was absolutely spotless and nicely decorated! This place is phenomenal! Close to all amenities and even has a small outdoor sitting area to relax in. The area was amazing ,such a great vibe and everything I needed within walking distance. Lisa was extremely knowledgable and helpful with any questions. Can't wait to stay again! Lisa's condo is centrally located and easy to get to places from.

It's a great building with security out front. Parking can be difficult, but the views are gorgeous. Lisa was fantastic to stay with! She was extremely quick with her replies, her place was spotless, and the entire apartment had wonderful views. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone I know travelling to Calgary! The apartment is very clean and has all the amenities I need. The building is close to public transportation. Great, clean, homey appartment with any and all amenities you could want.

I wasnt the biggest fan of being downtown, a little noisey and bright for me but im not at all used to a big city. We couldn't have been better hosted. We had a really pleasant time in Jessica's house.

THE place to stay when in Calgary! Jessica is an exemplary Airbnb host, I highly recommend her for anyone looking to stay in the area. Her place is incredibly clean and in a great location too. I was very impressed by her level of effort and attentiveness to make sure my one-day trip to Banff was the best possible day it could be. She really went above and beyond to help plan my day out. She recommended certain hikes and gave me some local pointers, before I knew it, I had an itinerary made based off her recommendations alone!

I can't thank you enough for that, as I'm sure I would've likely headed into some tourist traps if it weren't for her advice. If I come to Calgary again I certainly know where I'm staying, you should too! Jessica's place was super stylish, lovely and modern. Decorations of the house give guests positive energy and vibe.

The location was fine but you may want to be cautious when travelling in winter time as the snow plowing of the city of Calgary seems to be awful in city sides. Also Hidden by Airbnb maps directed us to a non-existing place in our very first try of finding the address from the airbnb website!

If your maximum comfort temprature is not above 18C, then this beautiful place is awesome for you: Jessica's place was just as she described in her airbnb posting and better! It was close to transit walkable distance and across a nice park to walk around in. She gave clear instructions of how to check in and was very helpful!

Jessica and Jason were great hosts! They gave great local tips and were accommodating to my schedule! The washer and dryer was much appreciated!!! Super stylish and clean! Lovely place in a quiet neighborhood across a park, within walkable distance from a shopping mall and the university. Everything went like clockwork and Jessica always responded quickly and was very hospitable. Very stylish and clean. Our stay at Jessica's couldn't have been any better. Her place is spacious, modern, clean, well equipped, well located and features amazing decoration.

It already looks great on the pictures, but it's even better being there. Jessica was very quick with communication both before we arrived as well as during our stay. We spent a very nice evening chatting with her while cooking in her amazing kitchen. We would love to stay here again. Extremely clean and stylish place! We loved the big windows and sleek decor. The place was stocked with all essentials. Be was very pleasant and super quick to reply to any questions I had.

Appreciated the simple check-in and check-out process. Thanks for the great stay! Stayed for a night while waiting for a flight. The home looks lovely, check in was made easy. Only recommendation would be maybe adding a full length mirror! Would stay here again while travelling in the future! The unit was adequate, but we were put off by a note telling us to lie to anyone who asked about our stay in the building.

Made us feel a bit uncomfortable - if the unit isn't supposed to be used as an AirBnB, it shouldn't be available in the system The air conditioner also wasn't working. Very clean, modern and trendy. Felt very comfortable here. Easy check in and check out. This apartment is accurate to the pics and profile however the amazing communication and support from Joanna as host just lifted our experience to another level. The location was perfect for us as we wanted walking distance to downtown and also to 17th Ave cafes and restaurants.

There is a great little cafe just 2 blocks away called Purple Perks which had great coffee and meals. The apartment was spotless, easy to access and the allocated parking spot is such a bonus if you're driving as street parking is very limited. We had temperatures as low as with the wind chill over the 12 days we stayed in Calgary and the apartment was cozy and warm all the time.

Joanna was on hand if we needed anything at all and responded to any questions almost immediately. She offered suggestions as to eating experiences and local attractions. Highly recommend staying here and we will definitely take advantage of this great apartment if we come back to Calgary. A fab condo in a perfect location. Very clean and stylish and everything you need for a stay in Calgary. Great location close to many bars and restaurants. Great location and Joanna was very easy to get in touch with.

She instantly made a change to the check-in process to accommodate me, and drove out to meet me with the key fob. Space was clean and beautiful, and exceeded our expectations. Thank you for a great stay and fast communication — we appreciated it! Joanna's place is lovely! In a great spot, very clean, with a neat view of the skyline. Joanna is very communicative- A great host! Would love to stay again if visiting Calgary: This condo is in a great location with lots of restaurants close by.

It is well laid out and very clean. One small downside is the street noise as it is near a busy street. Thank you Rachel and Kendrah, you're home is a gem. I loved the central and secluded feelings, All directions of the building to an exciting day in Calgary. Your house was great! So clean and the view was lovely, loved the sun coming into the window each morning.

Very quiet and comforting. Had everything we ever needed during our stay, hope to be stay here again! Thank you for checking in on us and the FYIs- great appreciated. The host is very nice. The house is so beautiful with a gorgeous balcony view. I like it and enjoy it a lot! Superbly equipped, modern apartment which makes you feel right at home the minute you walk through the door. Highlights are the huge fridge, great balcony and unbelievably comfy mattress!

Plenty of facilities nearby with trendy Mission just down the road. Would certainly recommend Rachel's beautiful apartment to anyone. She was able to accommodate us within an hour after a mishap with our prior airbnb. Her place is wonderful. It is just as shown on airbnb. We loved it and really enjoyed our stay. From dinner places to links to Stampede free breakfasts, Rachel's communication was above and beyond. Oh and her place is great: Rachel's place is so wonderful, modern and clean!

Love the kitchen and bedroom so much! She provides everything in the kitchen which is awesome! The location is also good and it's close to the public transit! I would like to stay next time as well! Lovely new condo -very well cared for with everything you need for a comfortable stay.

Lots of thoughtful touches and great communication. Easy access to major roads to get around town. The space was cozy and had all the amenities we could think of.

Checking in and out was very simple and convenient. I had a great couple of days at Louis's place. Loved the views from the living area and bedroom. Everything I needed was there. Would definitely stay there again! This is a wonder place to stay.

I was getting married at the Nash in inglewood - go there if you get a chance the food is amazing. I wanted a place that was close so I could enjoy a relaxing evening with my Mom and my bridesmaids. We stayed there the entire night and relaxed with the beautiful view. I used the stove and kitchen - awesome and top notch! We arranged all of our flowers in the living room and in the morning we had hair stylists, make up artists and video crew come to make us beautiful.

This place was perfect because it is so stunning inside. Louis was very easy to get ahold of and communicated quickly. Check in was easy! The location is incredible - make sure you head over to Char Bar and sit in the rooftop patio.

The entire east side community is just amazing! Thank you Louis for a wonderful evening! This place is wonderful. The place has everything that you need. The place is spic and span. It has everything you need around. The place also has a gym if you need to work out. The apartment is peaceful and quiet. The neighborhood is very safe. I would highly recommend anyone to stay in this place. And one last thing the host is always available no matter what time.

Louis is a great host and his place is very well situated in East Village. To find the key spend many times. Nice view from the terrace. I ended up extending my trip and Lillianne was kindly able to accommodate me for another night despite the short notice!! Great say, comfy bed and very accommodating house. Had a really nice stay, thanks Lillian. Lillianne was an incredibly cordial. She invited me to socialize with her and the other guests but was incredibly kind when I declined and preferred to have some time to think and reflect over my trip to Calgary.

She had marvellous suggestions of a cafe only blocks away. The walk took less than 5 mins through an incredible neighbourhood, it was absolutely gorgeous. New, nicely decorated, clean Home. Lillianne and her husband Eric are very friendly.

I felt very welcome in their home. Bedroom is on 2nd floor so need to be comfortable with stairs. Lillianne had a fan available as the room can be warm on a hot day. I enjoyed my stay. Our flight was delayed the night we arrived, so we arrived super late, but Lillianne completely understood and was there to greet us and let us know where our room was and where everyone was that we would need.

She was very flexible and very friendly! We stayed with her and her husband a few days later when we returned from other parts of our trip and they were just as welcoming and helpful the second time around! This is delightful apartment that is bright and cheery with colourful art and decorations, and a beautiful garden. Audrey is a warm and welcoming hostess who made me feel immediately at home, and provided all the basics for breakfast as well as offering a hot breakfast if desired.

The location was in a quiet neighbourhood while relatively central, and close enough for me to go for a long walk along the Bow River. Will be sure to stay here again when I am back in Calgary. Audrey is an excellent host! She is warm and interesting and extremely kind. My friend and I had a great time at her place and I would welcome her at my house any time. The little apartment suited us perfectly. I stayed with Audrey for 3 weeks while working at Foothills.

It's a minute walk to the hospital. The basement apartment is fantastic. I had everything I needed. The bed is super comfortable and the wifi is reliable and fast. Audrey is a warm and generous person who made me feel right at home.

Audrey's place is very quiet, clean and in a nice, quiet neighborhood. There is no private entrance to the suite and we never really got used to walking through the house to get to our suite. Once we were in our suite it was very private and comfortable. Audrey's appartment, and house felt just like home. Very confortable, and any you need was available. Communication was excellent, and Audrey was very accommodating of my last minute unforseen change of plans.

I would highly recommend her place. Our space in the house had everything we needed: Great place to stay in Calgary! This space and location is perfect. Audrey is a fantastic host. We would have loved to stay longer and would definitely stay there again if we go to Calgary.

It was really awesome at Tiffanies and her husbands home. She made us really enjoyed it even it was just one night. We could relax and Tiffany helped us so much with everything. The view over the city is amazing and the whole place is very clean and comfortable.

Thank you guys for this awesome stay; We also loved your cat,he helped also feeling comfortable. The space is exactly as advertised and the pictures hardly do the view justice - it is stunning! Everything was clean and the host was very reliable and welcoming.

It was perfect to stay with Tiffany and Mr. We could not think of any better accommodation. The view of the bedroom is breathtaking.

We were lucky and could enjoy sun and a heavy thunderstorm The communication is perfect. Tif answered in a minute. And we had enough intimacy. We used the kitchen every evening and it felt like home. The cat Mr Bigs really makes this airbnb to a home. He is so lovely!!

Thank you both and we will return for sure! A beautiful space to call home temporarily! It was ridiculously cold when I arrived - but with the access to great amenities within a few minutes of walking I got lazy fast and enjoyed the great condo views in comfort. Cuddling with the resident cat, Mr.

Bigs - made it even better: The Place is exactly as described. T had everything you needed! Definitely coming back for sure. Beautiful space, so obviously loved and cared for. Had everything that I could have asked for, much more than a hotel provides and better quality as well. Everything is labelled so that you can quickly and easily find your way around the kitchen and bathroom.

Bedroom has wrap-around windows and a stunning view. Talk about a luxurious Airbnb experience! The place was even better than the photos. Gorgeous view to wake up to. Every amenity you could think of and absolutely spotless - felt like a 5 star hotel! Tiffany was very kind and helpful, and Mr.

Bigz showered us with love the entire time. Will definitely save for future trips! Tiffany's place is great and exceeds my expectation. Although we didn't see each other much, the communication was smooth, quick, and she provided everything we needed.

Bigz is very friendly. We would definitely recommend her place. Was only in overnight but Curtis was great with that- good for airport overnight stays or those staying longer. Clean, respectful, accommodating, and kind people also staying there. We had a very comfortable stay at Curtis's home. We were only there for one night but it was a perfect location, close to downtown and other amenities. Our only regret was not meeting our host! I would definitely stay here next time I visit Calgary.

The stay at Curtis's place was great. He had clear instructions for everything and the room was clean and comfy. Arlene made our stay very easy.

Quick check in, and everything was neat and tidy. Especially for the price, snatch this up. She deserves to have every day booked!

Arlene, is great to deal with she is efficient and communicative. The apartment is tastefully done and clean. The location is superb. Great location, and great communication. Would definitely recommend this place for a weekend getaway. We are in town for a hockey game and her place was decently close to the stadium.

Her place looks exactly like the pictures. Our stay at Arlene's was great, but a little bare on amenities. No coffee pot or wine opener, which was inconvenient in the morning. Otherwise, the place was clean and great location. Having memorable time with my girlfriend. Nice and clean room and warm enough, especially friendly staff. My boyfriend, dog and I stayed at Candlewood Suites for about 2 weeks, and we have nothing but good things to say about it!

Everything was clean, comfortable, and the staff were so friendly. The place is very pet friendly as well, which we were all very thankful for! The amenities were great, such as the barbeque which we used several times , the complimentary laundry, gym, and the 24hr mini convenience store was very helpful.

Also, we loved playing the board games from the lending locker and we were kept entertained browsing through their DVD selection. Can't thank this host enough for such a wonderful stay! This location is near the airport which was great for me. The room I stayed in comes with modernized kitchenette, which helped cut down on eating out. The staff are friendly and greet you every time they see you.

I highly recommend this location. This suite hotel is perfect for a longer stay. The rooms are nice, clean and well appointed. The convenience store Candlewood cupboard was well stocked and reasonable prices. The free laundry, gym and coffee are an added bonus. Friendly and helpful staff too! We stayed at Michael's condo for three weeks.

Michael made us feel at home with a lovely welcome gift, kindly checked in with us to make sure our stay was going well, and although we did not need to contact him he made sure we had the information if needed. The condo was comfortable, clean, and extremely quiet. It was great having a kitchen fully stocked, washer and dryer, and a second bathroom. The air conditioner was extremely appreciated as during our visit Calgary had been experiencing a heat wave which broke record.

We had met other families who were also using Air Bnb and did not have air conditioning in there condos. The location was great! The condo was in walking distance to restaurants, C train, grocery stores, shopping, and bike rentals. The parking space is secure and convenient. We enjoyed our visit and would contact Michael again if we needed to stay in Calgary again.

Thank you for making our stay feel like home! Everything you need right there! Coffee and wine waiting for you upon your arrival. Modern upgrades and very reasonably priced. We rented the apartment from Michael for my husbands family when we had our baby. They loved the accommodations and were pleased to see that Michael had supplied the kitchen with essentials such as spices etc to make it easier for them to cook during their stay. Great home base for our family of 4 when we visited Calgary.

The wine and coffee were much appreciated, as well as all the other little things in the kitchen that saved us from having to buy more than we needed e,g. Salt, coffee filters, ketchup. Condo was clean and spacious. Mike was kind and responsive. House manual was very clear - made everything go super smoothly from check in to check out. Overall, a good place to stay for sure. It's nice and spacious, and had everything we needed during our stay.

Great communication ensured a seemless check-in and plenty of information on how to use things in the apartment. Would have no hesitations about booking this place again whenever I'm back in Calgary. We stayed 2 nights at nicole's.

It is really a good place to stay. We enjoy our stay there. C-train id about minutes walk. And you can go to Calgary walk about 25 minutes walking. The flat is very quiet and nice. Andy is the fastest man alive. But seriously, he was always available and was very quick to respond. The place was very clean and comfortable, with everything you'd need!

Would love to stay there again, thanks Andy!! Great location, right next to downtown without any noise from traffic. Place looked just like the pictures, simple and modern decor. I really have no complaints. It is a really nice apartment, very clean, bright and stylish. The bed is wonderful and really cozy- perfect!

Andy was a very nice host- although we only saw him once. But he was available the whole time and helped us with a lot of tips.

The apartment is spacious with everything you need for a longer stay, too. We liked it very much! We really enjoyed staying at Andy's place. Conveniently located in the quiet area, minutes to downtown, shops and restaurants. Very clean and modern. Great value for the money you pay. Would recommend it without hesitating! Andy was a great host, meeting us with check-in and being available for any questions or concerns we had.

The space is just as pictured and such a great value for the location and amenities and the bed was super comfy! We really enjoyed our trip and would definitely recommend this apartment, minutes from downtown with everything you could need!

Andy and Nicole's place was just as advertised! Check-in was clear and easy, and both Andy and Nicole were quick to answer any last minute questions! The apartment had everything necessary for a great stay, including espresso - such a nice touch: I would definitely stay here again!

Great place and location, self check-in and checkout. They do have a little "mini bar" however I do recommend bringing your own things as the mini bar is if you're at a hotel. We really enjoyed the view over the city. The apartment was nice and clean. I'd definitely stay here again. Very clean and nice accommodation, we had problems to know how to access the apartment, but the rest was good. Had an absolutely amazing time as a first air bnb costumer.

The condo was beautiful, clean, smelled like fresh laundry. It was very nice and a breath taking view!! Building is quiet and beautiful. I loved the convience of the stocked mini bar Definitely recommend this rental!! One of the best AirBnb I have stayed at. Great location in downtown and very clean. Would definitely book again. She was a very attentive host and made sure that we were comfortable, via email and text. We were impressed with all the little details, as her home was decorated with flowers, fruit and water was left on the kitchen counter, and travel sized toiletries in the bathroom, all very nice touches.

Carolina was quite the host! She left a basket full of travel essentials in case we forgot anything. The room was tidy, spacious and perfect for what my boyfriend and I needed before we made the trek to Banff. This place was more than expected and perfect for 2 people to stay at. The pantries are stocked with items you can use like bear mace!

I love the fact there is a kitchen and everything you need to cook and have a nice dinner. The ceiling may be a little low for tall people, but we weren't that tall to begin with. The owners decorated the place nicely and made it feel like a comfortable space. It is a very good value and we highly recommend it. This was our first airbnb and it was Amazing!! Thanks to Carolina hospitality. She was very flexible in accomodating us specialy for checking in time.

During our stay she was checking on us to see how we were doing, giving us suggestions to enjoy our stay better in Calgary. The place was very modern and newly renovated. There were snacks and travel sized hygiene products that came very handy. The washer and dryer was a plus. Definitely would recommend this place. Welcoming and very clean escape from the busy downtown core but very conveniently close to downtown.

Carolina was very helpful before we arrived and gave us great tips to restaurants nearby. Had a great sleep on a cozy bed.

We spend one day in Carolina's place and it was great! Place was clean, well kept and nice. She was attentive to our needs and recommended a nice place to go eat.

We would love to come back and stay with her. This was the best "Be at home" away from home space for 2. Will definitely go back if we make it back to Calgary. It will be like coming home. This was an absolutely perfect spot in Calgary. Close to the downtown but in a nice quiet neighbourhood where we felt safe leaving our car with our camping gear in it.

The decor is lovely and all of the amenities are available for your use. I would highly recommend staying here! The location was very central with easy access to downtown.

The condo was well appointed and very clean - it had everything we needed! We would definitely look to stay again during future visits to Calgary. Natalie's place is clean, comfortable and modern, very convenient for using public transit, and has lots of great places to eat and explore within walking distance. Great base for a Calgary getaway! Had a wonderful stay! The condo was clean, well decorated, homey, had everything you need and just overall amazing. Will definitely stay here again!

Had a blast in the condo, there is a welcome book in the suite with recommended restaurants and attractions. Place is really clean, cozy and well organized. Fast respond by hosts when I had questions, would definitely come again next time. This is a beautiful, stylish and immaculately clean condo in a great location for nearby amenities and exploring Calgary.

I enjoyed my stay at MJ's place. The view is amazing and he was helpful with any concerns I had regarding my stay. We enjoyed our stay at MJ's.

The views were excellent and the location was great. We only stayed one night, so we did not use the kitchen but it would also be a great place for an extended stay due to the grocery store across the street. Our only issue was checking in, but it wasn't anything MJ could do differently.

If you are driving, you have to find parking on the street or in the parking lot to the store if available because the garage is accessed by a remote that is with the apartment key. So it's just a little chaotic if you can't find a spot that is close. But if you are not driving a car, it wouldn't be a problem.

Other than that, everything was great! Clean and bed was comfortable. This apartment has a very stylish look and the view is worth it alone!

MJ provides very clear, detailed instructions before checking in. We had no issue getting in and out quickly. Would love to come back! Find Places to Stay in Calgary on Airbnb.

It is close to everything in Calgary and the facilities are amazing. This is a one bedroom unit with a large storage area that has a direct walk out to a main street that allows you easy access to the city. The Saddledome reached its highest capacity in the early '90s at 20, The Flames petitioned the City of Calgary and the Saddledome Foundation to upgrade the facility in , requesting renovations to add additional luxury boxes and a new club section.

The Flames insisted the upgrades were necessary for the team to remain viable in the arena. They argued it was important that their landlord bring the arena up to the higher standards they felt was required.

At the same time, they rejected a counter proposal for applying a ticket surcharge to pay the cost. Flames' owners denied the reports, but said they had threatened to build a new rink elsewhere in the city.

Renovations occurred between and and saw the addition of 41 new luxury suites at the top of the lower bowl, an 1, seat club section, a new restaurant, expanded offices for the Flames, Saddledome management and Hockey Canada , as well as a significant restructuring of the public concourse and a new parkade structure. Prior to its reopening, the Flames signed a deal with Canadian Airlines to rename the facility. Removing the "Olympic" moniker was controversial with both the public and City Council, though the city voted in favour of the deal which included the donation of a portion of the naming rights to fund amateur sports within the city.

The arena has received cosmetic upgrades in recent years. The JumboTron that was installed in was replaced in with a new high definition scoreboard. The Saddledome was one of many buildings impacted by the Alberta floods. The flooding of the Elbow and Bow Rivers swamped many areas of the city, including Stampede Park where the Saddledome is located. The event level of the arena was filled with water, also wrecking the high definition scoreboard that had been sitting on the rink floor during the summer downtime, while the dressing rooms and control room for the video replay screen were swamped.

He added that the team's equipment and some memorabilia had also been destroyed, but expressed confidence that the facility would be repaired and ready in time for the October start to the —14 Calgary Flames season. Crews worked around the clock to repair the facility; Saddledome director of building operations Robert Blanchard estimated that , man hours of work was performed on the facility and noted that they had compressed a six-month project into two. The facility was granted its occupancy permit in late August, and the first event following the Saddledome's reopening was an Eagles concert on September The first hockey game was September 14, a Flames pre-season contest.

The opening of the Saddledome allowed Calgary to play host to major musical acts that were bypassing the city in the early s, because the city's existing facilities were not large enough to accommodate the industry's top performers.
